It may be impossible to lift heavier weights on a certain exercise without changing things up a bit first. In order to continue building mass, make some changes in your bodybuilding workout by choosing a different exercise and work until you hit another plateau with it.

Then, return to your original exercise and you’ll be able to move forward and lift heavier that you did previously. By constantly making changes and challenging your muscles, you’ll keep them guessing and continue to grow stronger.
