If you have a big budget and a lot of space, the possibilities are virtually limitless. There are so many options available and the best thing to do is just start looking around and seeing what’s available. Then you’ll be able to narrow down the choices and evaluate each one to find something that fits your particular needs.
On the other hand, if you’re working with a limited budget you’ll need to start with the basics. Everyone needs a bench and you can find inexpensive options at nearly any store that carries fitness equipment or you can try shopping online. You’ll also need to get some weights. Look for free weight options and just buy what you need to start since you can always buy more weight as you progress. Dumbbells are also a must and the most basic varieties are not expensive.
Don’t overlook cardio exercise. If you can, consider getting a treadmill or another piece of equipment to use inside when the weather’s bad. Again, if you’re in to basics, a simple jump rope can do the trick. And, you can always go for a run.
As you can see, figuring out how to build muscle at home is pretty easy. Figuring out where to put your gym and only buying what you have space for is the hard part.
